3D render of a blue pump station building on a Hudson Bay shoreline, pipes running from it across low tundra to the water
Public hearings & consultation

Shoreline pump station.

Approved by the community that saw it first. Photographs, satellite imagery and topographic data were combined into a to-scale model of the shoreline with the station on it.

Site: Hudson Bay shorelineSource data: Photographs, satellite imagery, topographic dataStatus: Community approved

Challenge

A pump station proposed on a Hudson Bay shoreline. Infrastructure on a landscape a community knows intimately.

Solution

An accurate visualization of the station on the actual shoreline, so residents could assess the proposal itself rather than relying on descriptions alone.

Impact

The project moved forward after receiving community approval.

Wide 3D render of the shoreline site, the pump station small against the expanse of rock, water and low vegetation
THE STATION AT TRUE SCALE AGAINST THE SHORELINE

Start with a location and whatever reference material you have.

That’s usually enough for us to start scoping the project. We’ll come back with an approach, the technical inputs we need, a timeline, and a quote.
